Holiday / Beach Wear | A little to the Plus Side | Crazy Indian Mother | RGV Love

We went on a holiday to goa! Hubby dearest surprised me with a Birthday trip to Goa!

Sinquerim Beach, Goa

A surprise trip meant, an impromptu shopping spree! I am a little to the plus size, I am not really plus size, and not really 'normal' size, I am somewhere in between! I wear a size 18 or 16 , XL or XXL depending upon the brand! So this makes buying 'impromptu' stuff next to impossible! I can never find anything that fits my bum and boob together, lol. Also mostly all cute clothes are smaller in size :/ Even if I do find something that fits my chubby post pregnancy tummy it usually doesn't fit my big bum. Being Pear shape is a challenge!

Not having too much time in hand and having a 7month old super active mumma-clinging baby, meant that I could just not go to ALL the shops!

I went to Westside first, there plus size range Sassy Soda is brilliant and is probably the only plus size Indian Western Wear clothing range that caters to the fashionable plus size girls! Unfortunately sale had just ended and all the new stock was a bit winter-y. Lets face it, Winter is coming!

I hopped on to Marks and Spencer's next, I was sure I will get my size there, size 18, just needed to narrow down on design. I don't know if I never noticed before or maybe its a new thing but I found a whole wall/section of 'holiday wear', yay! Such a relief! Also found a few pieces on the sales rack!

You can go ahead and watch the video of what I wore, or scroll down for pictures and details :

Outfit 1 / Day 1 : My Birthday! I wore this wrap around dress from Marks and Spencer , it was actually M&S Maternity size 14, but it fit me really well, lol.
I wore it with a Marks and Spencer body shaper underneath and some Kala Niketan chappals.
My husband loved this look out of them all, personally I was never a big fan of wrap around dresses but this one made me change my mind :)

I later added my Soul Sling Ring Sling to the outfit to make it easier for me to carry Aryaveer.

Dress : Marks and Spensers
Wrap : Soul Slings Ring Sling
Chappals : Kala Niketan
@ Lemon Tree, goa

Outfit 2 / Day 2 : I had this long transparent shirt from AND since forever, and I could never figure out how to team it, specially in a place like Delhi it always felt out of place, fit perfectly as a lounge / beach wear in Goa though.  I teamed it up with a shift dress from Marks and Spencers, and my Hush Puppies Flip Flops.

More than my outfit I love Aryaveer's Mothercare yellow Dungaree.

Long transparent Shirt : AND
Dress : Marks and Spencers
Flip Flops : Hush Puppies
@ Lemon Tree, Goa

Outfit 3 / Day 2 : Is basically just the shift dress and Soul Sling SSC carrier, lol. My husband was worried that the long dress will get too wet at the beach, so I took it off after breakfast....although I love the feel of long dresses at beaches! Next time I won't listen to him :P

Dress : Marks and Spenser's
Wrap : Soul Sling Full Buckle Steal SSC
Sunglasses : Polorids
@ Candolim Beach , Goa

Outfit 4 / Day 2 : I have also had this shrug since forever and somehow could never style it perfectly with anything, I finally made it into a 'set' with the white sleeveless slip, its really just a slip I got along with a top from Sassy Soda . Also wearing Sassy Soda Jeans.

The key necklace was a gift from my ex-boss, its a Tranoi key, love the bag that I have with this outfit, its from Zara and it says " Life isn't perfect but your outfit can be"

Shrug : I don't remember :/
Slip : Sassy Soda, westside
Jeans : Sassy Soda, westside
Necklace : Tranoi Key
Chappals : Kala Niketan
@ Lemon Tree , Goa

Outfit 5 / Day 2 : While on the streets of Goa we changed our plans to go to the beach instead of Aguada Fort, where we were originally headed. The fort closes at 5:30pm and it was already 5:20pm, so I quickly brought this shades of blue dress off the street and changed in the shop itself, lol.

Dress : Off the streets of Goa ( Rs. 150 )

This is a completely unedited, untouched picture of Sinquerim Beach.
I did add my © though :P
How beautiful is that!!??!!

Outfit 6 / Day 3 : The day was going to be all about sight seeing, going to a church and mandir, etc, so I wore a comfortable kurta and pants from Fab India. I look weirdly older in these pictures, like my elder sister or something :/

Kurta and Pants : Fab India
@ Basilica of Bom Jesus

Outfit 7 / Day 4 : We were travelling back that day and I prefer comfy wear while travelling, I wore a black and white top from Chique, a little boutique shop in Delhi, and my Sassy Soda jeans.

Top : Chique
Jeans : Sassy Soda
@ Lemon Tree

Online Shopping (India) Part 1

Oh Dear god, I am OBSESSED with online shopping at the moment, like super duper obsessed!

I have recently got a B Blunt Dry Shampoo from purplle.com Along with Hair Color Spray Blue and Green :D

Found out about them in one of Delhi Fashion Blogger's videos, and obviously I went ahead and got them cause I am an idiot :/ and I love to buy stuff!

Haven't really tried them yet but I trust they would be good, lol, will try and review them soon!

Also just order a 500GB Hard Disk from Flipkart, have it on express delivery so it should reach me in a day!

I really want to buy the Luni Mini, which is like a gentle scrub thingy, but it isn't available any where online in India; the only 'Luni' available is kind off PG rated, not something I was looking for :/

Aaahhhh there is soooo much more I want, I feel like a spoilt kid right now! #MustControl

Anyways have you subscribed to my channel yet!? Do it now! : https://www.youtube.com/rgvlove

I am an Indian YouTuber....is that a thing?

“I make video’s for a living”
“ You mean movies?”
“errr…no Videos…on YouTube”
“Acha, hmm”

Well people do get judgmental especially when you have a career apart from the main stream. In the 90’s if anyone was not a Doctor or Engineer people believed they just didn’t score high enough to become one, forgot about the fact that maybe, just maybe they just didn’t want to do it. (oh the horror)

But now as the next century has turned a few of its pages the new generation aims at moving one step ahead and has mapped out its career in online video making.

“So what is it? Do you just sit at home make a video of you talking and upload it online, sounds simple enough, why are you wasting your college degree?”

No, it is not easy. It takes planning, scripting, shooting, editing, uploading, realising you made a mistake, re-shooting, editing, uploading, the upload fails and then uploading again!

And it doesn't stop there, nooooo, you have to then socially promote the video, which is best done in the first 24 hours. So the day I have to upload a video (Every Thursday) I am super busy from the moment I open my eyes early morning.

Now I am not complaining at all, I LOVE doing this, even though I am still at 250 subs, I am a proud YouTuber, I love all my subs, the number might be low but get this 250 people take time out to watch me act like an idiot and some of them actually comment and like the video as well!

So am I wasting my college education? Not at all, I am a Fashion Design graduate from NIFT Mumbai, one of the BEST colleges in India for a design course. (For parents of the 80's NIFT is the IIT of design) I proud myself in the fact that my college education, although focused on how to make clothes, made me ready to face any challenges and go through any criticism. I use my college degree to make me strive for something better, to make me want to keep things fresh and original!

Although YouTube isn't certainly my first career choice, it has kind of become my goal to be a part of it! Lets see how far this journey takes me :)
